February Events at MIB
A quick update as to events for the month of February (can’t imagine that it’s time to post this already!):
Slots are available for both the Monday night class with Jeanie (6:30-8pm) and for the Friday evening yin yoga class with Sally (5:30-7pm). The yin class will meet on the 3rd and 10th, take a break for 2 weeks (see why below!) and resume on the 24th and March 2nd. Drop in slots are available for either Monday or Friday if you can’t sign up for the whole 4 week series. Please call the office for details.
Singing Bowls with Harmonic Immersion
Back by popular demand, Nancy Beal, a certified Singing Bowl therapist and Master Harp Therapist, will provide us with an evening of restful, restorative, complete relaxation. Sunday, February 12th, 6:30-8pm. Come be fully immersed in the experience of multiple energy therapies as she weaves harp, aromatherapy, Reiki, guided imagery, singing bowls, gong and other instruments into tranquil, restful vibrations. Take time out from your holiday preparations to give yourself the gift of relaxation.
Wear your most comfortable clothing. Bring mats, blankets, pillows and eye pillows for your comfort. Space is limited, so please call to register early. $20 for the session.
Balance For Good Lifestyle Change program
Did January get away from you without finding the time to start those New Year’s resolutions? Not sure how to get started? Come to a free introductory session for our science-based lifestyle change program. MaryLu Gallagher, Certified Lifestyle Educator, will answer your questions on how to lose weight, lower your cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, control your blood sugar and generally feel more energetic. Our 12 week program works, and has been documented to achieve results as good as or better than those obtained from pharmaceutical agents…..with no side effects other than better health! Yin Yoga Retreat:
Need a quick get away, and want to be spontaneous? Join Sally Miller, our yin yoga instructor, in her Yin Yoga Retreat in Costa Rica, February 18-25. The retreat is held at Anamaya resort in Montezuma. For information, see www.sallymilleryoga.com.
Helen Glickenstein, gallery owner and jewelry designer, hates Mondays. In an attempt to make a more fun-filled start to her week, she is instituting “Creative Mondays”—a chance to spend your lunch break creating jewelry. Bring your lunch and some jewelry you never wear; she’ll show you how to recycle it all into something beautiful. Men, bring along scrap copper wire or other metal scrap and make a wristband for yourself or something for your sweetie. Dates are February 20th and February 27th, anytime between 11:30 and 2pm.
