FALL WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS Eckhart Tolle Seminar Life’s fullness is in us and surrounds us. Become part of a group of people who are dedicated to their own growth, keenly excited about learning, and wishing to practice the mindfulness required to pay close attention to the workings of our mind and heart. Here you will interact with others as we explore how each and every event that touches and affects us, triggers a reaction. With leader facilitation and group interaction you will see the nature of our minds and the patterns of our reactive selves. Using Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth as our basis, participants will learn:
Wednesdays, September 10 – October 8, from 7 - 9pm Facilitators: Jean Ryersbach, MA, and Wendy Warner, MD $125 preregistration required. Call 215-741-1600 to register.
Nutrition and Whole Foods Cooking Workshop This workshop has become a favorite at our practice, so we are offering it twice this fall: We all struggle to eat in a more healthy fashion, but time and energy often sabotage our efforts. Come learn how to eat truly whole foods without spending all day and night in the kitchen. Dr. Wendy Warner will cover the basics of nutrition, how to cook whole grains and produce, and how to stock your kitchen for quicker meals. Included in the course fee is a book of detailed information including recipes and menu suggestions. Specific dietary issues (gluten free, low sugar/anti-candida, etc) will be addressed as well. Tuesday, September 23, from 7-9pm. Also Tuesday, October 21, from 7-9pm. Facilitator: Wendy Warner, MD $50 preregistration required. Call 215-741-1600 to register.
Introduction to Homeopathy (Free!) What feels like a mystery but works beautifully to stimulate healing? Come spend an evening with 4th generation homeopath Beth Rotundo. She’ll explain more about what to expect in a homeopathic consultation as well as some of homeopathy’s many uses. The focus will be on preparing for the cold and flu season. Thursday, September 25, from 7:30-9pm. Facilitator: Beth Rotundo Please call to register.
Sound Healing for the Pain Body (Free!) The remnants of pain left behind by every strong emotion that is not fully faced and released forms a "pain body" that lives in the very cells of your body, causing physical and emotional distress. Using a special tuning fork and certain crystals placed at acupoints (where acupuncturists would use needles), we release portions of the pain body. Actually see the energy moving on a video of the process. An introductory lecture presented by Diane Eyer, PhD. Facilitator: Diane Eyer, PhD. Please call to register. Day for All Women Come hear Wendy Warner, MD, give three different lectures: The Basics of Holistic Medicine; A Holistic Approach to Menopause; and Environmental Medicine and Its Impact on Our Lives. Please watch http://www.bucks.edu/dfaw for further details. Saturday, November 1
ONGOING EVENTS Gluten Free / Healthy Living Support Group Although this group started as a gluten-free support group, it is evolving into a gathering of individuals who want to learn how to eat more healthfully and live more balanced lives. We all share ideas and resources; everyone welcome. 1st Tuesday of each month, 7 to 9pm. (Free!) Reiki Share Come experience the sensation of Reiki first hand. On the second Wednesday of each month, we gather for a combination social / healing session to experience the gentle, healing touch of the ancient Japanese art. This is an ongoing event, but please call to let us know you will be there. 2nd Wednesday of each month, 7 to 9pm. (Free! Donations accepted.)
Our usual Friday evening and Sunday morning yoga classes are on hiatus for the remainder of the summer. Jeremi Dilworth currently has a Monday evening class, which is full. When everyone is back from vacation, we’ll start anew; look for upcoming announcements of times and days.
