Special Classes and Workshops Offered

“Spring Cleaning”:  a 3 week food-based liver detox and renewal.

In the past, we have sponsored 10 day liver detox programs using partial elimination diets and medical foods.  Last fall, we had our first 3 week long, food based detox/renewal and now it’s back by popular demand.  It works like this:  participants will be eating a clean diet with an emphasis on kitchari, eliminating alcohol and added sugars of any kind, and focusing on foods that help the liver detox pathways.  We’ll be drinking a detox tea daily, formulated from herbs that help support the liver’s detoxification.  A sleep tea is also included, as these procedures get bogged down in those with insomnia.  The group stays in touch via a closed Facebook group, where we can ask questions, give encouragement and support, and otherwise be a community.  During the 3 weeks, in addition to “spring cleaning” our bodies, we’ll also be focusing on doing the same in other areas of our lives:  literally cleaning out the house, getting outside in Nature daily, doing daily meditation/Heartmath/yoga/tai chi/qi gong.  This is planned as a true reset; you owe it to yourself to give it a try!

Begins Saturday March 3, 2018 and continues through Saturday March 24, 2018.

Cost:  $120    (Includes teas, updated electronic packet of info to help you personalize your detox, access to the group and my support)  Additional charge for kitarchi kit if you prefer to not make it entirely from scratch (kit includes rice, dal, spices, ghee)

Healthy Living Potluck

Healthy Living PotluckAlthough this group started as a gluten-free support group, it has evolved into a gathering of individuals who want to learn how to eat more healthfully and live more balanced lives. We all share ideas and resources and bring along a healthy dish to share. The regulars are fabulous cooks, so we all eat well. Topics vary each month, everyone welcome.

2nd Tuesday of each month, 7 to 9pm. (Free!)

April 10th:  “Making Meals from What’s Left in the Freezer and Pantry”.  As we get ready for the spring/summer abundance, it’s time to clean out the freezer and pantry.  What can you make with some of the odds and ends you find?

Yoga Classes

Restorative Yoga

Every Wednesday, 11:30 am-12:15, taught by Doris Szeto.  In this class, you will learn to relax and let go as you are held in the pose by bolsters, blankets and other props.  No experience necessary.

***Doris’s baby girl has arrived, so this class is on hold for the time being as the family gets to know each other!

Iyengar Yoga

This is our ongoing Monday evening Iyengar-based yoga class with Jeremi Dilworth.  Class meets from 6:30-8pm.

Beginner’s Flow Yoga

Monday 9:00-10:15 am, taught by Jess Kramer.  If you’re new to yoga, this is the class for you.  Small classes assure close supervision.

Mixed Level Flow Yoga

Fridays 10:00-11:15am, taught by Jess Kramer.  Jess puts together really amazing sequences, and enlivens our space in a lovely way.  Come see what the fun is all about!
